Role
The focus of this role is on the design and engineering of the frontend of our system with a particular focus on web applications and UX.
You should be a creative person who is able to explore and communicate user needs, solve problems and measure your success. A strong portfolio of successful UX projects is essential. The aim is for you to make our product more impactful, user-friendly and competitive.

Responsibilities
As a UX Designer you will work closely with clinical staff to design UX for our surgical safety software with a strong focus on usability and clarity. You will be responsible for working with clinicians to understand their needs and shaping the way in which they interact with our cutting edge technologies.
As part of our team you will work with engineers, doctors and data scientists giving you the opportunity to learn new skills. Your contribution will be towards a pipeline of our products that will make surgery safer.

Essential Criteria
MSc in Design, Art, User Experience, Service Design or related subjects. Candidates are required to have 3+ years of professional experience.
  • Strong portfolio of design projects
  • Proven experience designing and delivering high quality, high impact product solutions in an agile team
  • Experience in planning and conducting experiments and user research (qual and quant) that inform tactical and strategic product decisions
  • Experience in project planning and management
  • Strong knowledge of interaction design principles
  • Proficient in design software (e.g. sketch, invision, axure)
  • Knowledge of HTML/CSS; JavaScript is a plus
Desirable Skills
  • Experience working in a commercial setting
  • Experience working in an Agile environment and ticketing systems
  • Experience working in a clinical setting
