Role
We are looking for an exceptional Senior Product Manager to lead our product strategy and execution.
You will manage the entire Scalpel product portfolio across the whole lifecycle. You will develop and conduct user research, define product strategy, write product requirements, and lead the product through design, development, and deployment. You will collaborate closely with the product marketing and commercial team to ensure the successful launch and adoption of the product.

  • Define the product strategy based on a clear understanding of the customer and internal and external stakeholders.
  • Understand customers' business problems and translate them into value propositions & comprehensive set of solutions spanning technology, data, governance, security & privacy.
  • Map the user journey to identify key user flows as a critical input to product strategy and roadmap.
  • Provide product profile and thought leadership in shaping the vision & strategy for all areas of the platform with a product roadmap to deliver value to Scalpel and our customers.
  • Lead the development of product, goals, performance, features, and KPI holding accountability for the service on a day-to-day basis
  • Lead products through the development lifecycle, collaborating and influencing all cross-functional stakeholders, including clinical, user experience, software engineering, compliance, regulatory and executive leadership.
  • Lead daily stand-ups, sprint planning, sprint review, and retrospectives
  • Work closely with our Commercial Lead, gather KPIs and feedback, and develop proposals to increase product value
  • Monitor and prioritize product quality issues. Work on cross-functional teams to resolve product issues and critical customer issues.
  • Risk Identification & Management: Identity, communicate and manage risks toward delivering features.
  • Backlog Management: Build a strong backlog with prioritization—partner with the engineering team to suggest changes for the architecture runway.
  • Perform product owner and project management duties, managing the schedule to ensure timely delivery.
  • People Management: Be responsible for performance management, skills development, and career planning of direct reports. Establish a strong team culture conducive to agile delivery and nurture the team coordinated with the Scrum master. Enable and empower team members to provide feedback, question investments, and innovate.

Eligibility

  • BA/BS in Software Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related technical field
  • 3+ years of professional experience in software product management in Tech or MedTech
  • 3+ years of experience in software development and commercial deployment of SaaS solutions
  • Track record of delivering exceptional, user-focused products to market
  • Expert at utilizing product management software to lead and coordinate team and deliverables
  • Good written and verbal communication skills – ability to communicate in a clear, concise, professional manner
  • Excellent teamwork skills with proven ability to collaborate across multiple disciplines to ensure product success and ability to influence cross-functional teams without formal authority. This includes leading in bridging communication between engineering, design, marketing, sales, and customers.
  • Strong understanding of data security and data privacy laws such as HIPAA and GDPR
  • Bias towards action with proven ability to work creatively and cross-functionally amongst competing priorities
  • Ability to travel up to 25% of the time
Desirable Criteria
  • Master's degree in IT or related Engineering field
  • Experience delivering projects in the medical device industry
  • Start-up and/or healthcare experience
  • Experience with Health IT, Digital Health, and/or surgical domain
